1. I was injured in an auto accident three months ago, and I still have headaches, neck pain and pain between my shoulder blades. Pain medication helps, but only temporarily. Do you think chiropractic care could help me with these problems?

A. Chiropractic care is usually the treatment of choice for most auto accident injuries, unless there are serious injuries that require immediate medical attention. The most common types of injuries that result from a vehicular collision are spinal and soft tissue injuries, including whiplash injuries, and these typically respond very well to chiropractic care. Muscle strains, muscle spasms, sprained ligaments and tendons, spinal injuries, structural misalignment, disc injuries, rib sprains ~ all of these are very common after auto accidents and are best treated with chiropractic care. Pain medication may be beneficial, but unless the structural alignment is restored, many of these types of injuries never heal totally, and ultimately become chronic. With chiropractic care, structural alignment can be restored which can greatly accelerate healing of most auto accident injuries. Headaches, neck pain and pain between the shoulder blades after an auto accident are classic signs of a whiplash injury, and usually respond quicker to chiropractic care, and with no side-effects, than other types of treatment. If you are still experiencing these symptoms three months after being involved in an auto accident, we suggest you give us a call now to schedule an appointment. Our "light touch, low force" chiropractic techniques just may be the way to a pain-free future!

2. I've been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome. Can chiropractic help this?

A. I have treated many, many people with carpal tunnel syndrome and in every single case, each person had one or more carpal bones in their wrist out of alignment as well as one or more vertebrae in their neck or thoracic region out of alignment, contributing to their symptoms. With chiropractic care, none of these cases had to be referred for medical treatment or surgery. In fact, I have treated people who had already scheduled surgery, and with chiropractic care they were able to cancel the surgery, having healed without it. One woman in particular decided to try chiropractic for her carpal tunnel syndrome three days before her scheduled surgery. She had all eight wrist bones out of alignment. With only one chiropractic treatment, all of her wrist pain disappeared and she cancelled her surgery. If you've been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome or if you have wrist pain, give us a call now to schedule a chiropractic treatment. We can probably help you too!

3.  Can chiropractic care help children?

A. The potential benefit of chiropractic care for children is often overlooked, but children often respond quicker and better than adults to chiropractic treatment. Many documented studies have shown the tremendous benefit of chiropractic care for children with conditions such as otitis media (middle ear infection), colic, headaches, neck pain, low back pain and bedwetting. Misaligned vertebrae in children can cause interference in the nervous system, which can contribute to a weaker immune system, back and neck pain, headaches, lack of concentration, glandular imbalance and many other conditions. Correcting this structural misalignment with chiropractic care can not only help children stay healthier but can also prevent future problems when they get older. If your child's health is less than optimum, or if they are experiencing back or neck pain, headaches, frequent colds or infections, stomach distress, asthma or any other health condition, we highly recommend that you give us a call now to schedule an appointment for them. Frequently, chiropractic care can very quickly help them experience greater health once again!
