Dr. Frances M. Hollembaek
Dr. Fran grew up in southeastern Massachusetts about 40 miles south of Boston. There she developed a love for the outdoors, culture and art, traveling, and athletics. She earned an academic and athletic scholarship to Mercyhurst College, a small liberal arts institution, where she completed her undergraduate studies in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. It was not until her early twenties did she discover the amazing benefits of chiropractic care. While considered in “good health” by most standards, it was about her sixth week of treatment when she noticed all of her recurrent sinus and digestive issues resolved. Soon after, her stress and anxiety levels dropped enabling a deeper, more rejuvenating sleep and boundless energy. She felt extraordinary, and she knew that chiropractic was responsible for the all-around positive change. After making this correlation, she left her current career to pursue her doctorate in Chiropractic and has been part of this non-invasive healing art since.
After relocating to Kansas City, Dr. Fran coached varsity field hockey at Notre Dame de Sion, while attending Cleveland Chiropractic College. After graduation, she developed a strong, family-wellness, practice treating infants suffering from colic, sleep disturbances and digestive conditions, children with ear infections, asthma and scoliosis to adults with headaches, joint and back pain, osteoarthritis, spinal disc conditions, allergies, asthma and digestive issues. Wellness is a holistic approach to understanding your health, based on the belief that physical, emotional and environmental factors all play a role in how you feel. Wellness isn’t invasive; and it isn’t about medicating or masking a symptom. It’s about looking deep to uncover the root factors contributing to ailments, and making choices to achieve better balance. Wellness is a lifestyle, a life choice and a life line. Through regular chiropractic care, proper nutrition, and body movement, “wellness” is well within reach and Dr. Fran cannot wait to guide you along the way.
Out of the office, Dr. Fran loves to unwind to prana flow yoga and photography. She also feeds her adventurous spirit traveling to new places as often as possible. Her family resides in the Kansas City area, as does she just south of the plaza. Dr. Fran loves sharing the gift of health with everyone she encounters and looks forward to meeting you!
